Lineage 2 Goddess of Destruction: Complete Master Guide

Complete Lineage 2 Goddess of Destruction guide — new class system, leveling to 99, instances, Ability Points, raids, economy and private server tips.

May 11, 2025

Lineage 2 Goddess of Destruction (GoD), released in 2011, was the most radical overhaul in the game's history. The class system was completely rebuilt, the level cap raised to 99, Ability Points introduced as a long-term progression layer, and the Dual Class system replaced subclasses. GoD divided the player base — veterans criticized the sweeping changes, newcomers found it more accessible. On private servers it's less common than Interlude or High Five but has an active, dedicated community.

Key New Features in Goddess of Destruction

FeatureDescription
Reworked Class SystemComplete overhaul — new classes, merged old ones, removed race restrictions for many
Ability Points (AP)New long-term passive skill system earned by killing mobs at 85+
Level Cap 99Maximum level raised to 99

New Class System

GoD completely restructured the class system. The classic 1st/2nd profession system was abolished. Players choose their class from a broader starting roster, many without strict racial restrictions. Old classes were merged, renamed, or redesigned. The result is a smaller number of distinct classes but each with broader skill sets.

  • Iss Enchanter — new all-in-one buffer class replacing Hierophant, SE, and Bladedancer roles
  • Wynn Summoner — new summoner archetype with powerful servitors
  • Aeore Healer — universal healer replacing Bishop, Eva's Saint, and Shillien Saint
  • Sigel Knight — tank archetype consolidating all tank lines
  • Yul Archer — all archer roles in one class
  • Feoh Wizard — all mage DPS roles unified
  • Ability Points replace Sub-Class Certificates as the main long-term progression mechanic

If you're a veteran of Interlude or High Five, GoD will feel like a different game. Don't compare mechanics directly — learn GoD's systems fresh as a new experience.

Leveling Guide: 1–99

Levels 1–40: Reworked Start

GoD redesigned the starting experience. Tutorial quests give far more exp than in classic chronicles. Follow the quest chain — it efficiently delivers you to level 40 faster than grinding mobs ever could.

Levels 40–76: Instance-Driven Leveling

Kamaloka is the defining mechanic of GoD leveling. These daily instances give massive experience rewards and should be run every day without exception. Pair with open-world farming in Blazing Swamp (40–52), Monastery of Silence (62–68), and Gracia zones to maximize efficiency.

Levels 76–85: Transition Period

Freya zones remain relevant — Isle of Prayer, Primeval Isle. New GoD zones open: Pagan Temple (78–84), Wall of Argos (82–86). Rim Kamaloka unlocks at 85 for a massive daily exp boost.

Levels 85–99: GoD Endgame

New zone tiers open at 85+: Kartia's Labyrinth (85–90), reworked Cruma Tower (88–95), reworked Dragon Valley (90–95), Tower of Neinhart (93–99). Instances become the primary exp and gear source — daily Rim Kamaloka is mandatory.

Ability Points System

Ability Points (AP) are earned by killing mobs from level 85 onward. They're spent on passive bonuses — attack, defense, speed, HP, and more. Fully investing AP takes hundreds of hours — it's the primary long-term character progression in GoD, replacing the Sub-Class Certificate grind.

GoD bosses are significantly harder than their classic counterparts. They have new mechanics — stasis, teleports, AoE abilities — requiring tactical responses from the entire group. Never attempt without an experienced party.

R-grade crafting in GoD works very differently from S-grade in High Five. Study the GoD recipe system separately — many materials only drop in instances, not open-world zones.

Endgame Content

  • Ability Points grinding — endless character progression
  • Weekly instances — Octavis, Spezion, and other clan dungeons
  • Olympiad — seriously reworked for GoD classes
  • Clan Wars and Castle Sieges — continue as before
  • R95/R99 crafting race — competitive top-gear crafting
  • Dual Class progression — leveling your second class to maximum

Private Server Tips

  • GoD servers are significantly rarer than Interlude/High Five. Choose carefully.
  • Kamaloka and Rim Kamaloka cooldowns are often modified on private servers — can be run 2–3 times daily.
  • R-grade gear is often available through donation shops or simplified crafting on private servers.
  • If a GoD server just launched, the first 2 weeks determine the top clans. Start immediately if possible.
  • The Dual Class system is often simplified on private servers — confirm the conditions.
  • New GoD classes (Iss, Wynn, Aeore) are unfamiliar to Interlude veterans — read guides before picking.
