It introduced the Olympiad competitive PvP system, completed the roster of third-class transfers, and solidified the endgame loop that defined Lineage 2 for a generation. Leveling Guide: 1 to 75+

Levels 1–20: Starting Zones

Each race starts in its own village: Humans in Talking Island, Elves in Elven Village, Dark Elves in Dark Elven Village, Orcs in Orc Village, Dwarves in Dwarven Village. Complete starter quests, kill nearby mobs, and reach level 20 to unlock your first class transfer.

Levels 20–40: Mid-Range Zones

After your first transfer, move to Wasteland, Execution Grounds, and Abandoned Camp (20–30). At 30–40, grind Ant Nest, lower Cruma Tower, and Ivory Tower Crater. Reach level 40 for your second class transfer — a major power spike.

Levels 40–60: C-grade and B-grade Zones

Blazing Swamp (40–52) is the definitive mid-game zone. Oran Tempest (52–56), lower Antharas Lair (53–58), and Forge of Gods follow. At 58–61 get your third class transfer — this changes your character entirely. Tower of Insolence floors 1–5 are excellent for 55–62.

Levels 61–75+: A-grade and Endgame

Dragon Valley (66–72), Monastery of Silence (70–76), and Tower of Insolence upper floors (72–76) are the top late-game zones. Ketra Orc Outpost and Varka Silenos Outpost in party offer the best exp/hour at 66–74. Solo grinders prefer Sel Mahum Training Grounds and Catacombs of the Heretic.

The Third Class Transfer quest chain is complex and requires rare items. Plan it early — without the third class you lose 30–40% of your character's potential.

Private Server Tips

  • Check server rates: x5–x15 takes 1–3 weeks to reach 75; x100+ can be done in hours. Pick the rate that suits your schedule.
  • Most servers offer a starter pack — always claim your free D-grade gear on first login.
  • Research the donation shop before registering. Heavy pay-to-win ruins Interlude balance faster than any other chronicle.
  • Custom zones and bosses are common on private servers. Read the server wiki before you start.
  • On x3–x10 servers, join an active clan within your first 48 hours — endgame is closed without one.
  • Complete the Subclass quest at level 75 and grind a subclass to 75 for passive bonuses and Noblesse access.
  • Noblesse status (from the Barakiel quest) gives free teleport once daily and Noblesse-exclusive skills — never skip it.
