Lineage 2 Clan Guide: Creating, Levels & Clan Skills

How to create and level a clan in Lineage 2: levels 1–8, clan skills, reputation, the Clan Academy, sub-units and alliances. What unlocks at each level and whether to start your own clan.

July 18, 2026

Lineage 2 is a game about community, and a clan is not a formality — it is your pass to the best content: sieges, epic bosses and clan-wide bonuses. You can farm alone, but without a clan you are cut off from half the game. Let us cover how to create a clan, level it to the top, and what that gets you.

Why you need a clan

  • Access to castle sieges — the main source of status and income at endgame.
  • Clan skills — permanent HP, defense and resist bonuses for every clan member.
  • A ready party — people for farming, raids and epic bosses.
  • A clan hall — a base with teleports and buffs (see the clan hall guide).

How to create a clan

A clan is created at a Grand Master in any major town for a small fee. You choose the name, become the leader and can invite players. You start at clan level 1 with a basic member cap — from there the leveling begins.

Clan levels (1–8)

Each level is raised with reputation points, adena/SP and sometimes time. Exact numbers vary by server and rates, but the unlock structure is the same:

LevelWhat unlocks
1–2Clan creation, a basic member roster
3Clan crest (emblem)
5Clan skills, reputation, siege participation, Academy, alliances
6Sub-units (Royal Guard), more members
7–8Max members, full set of sub-units and skills

Clan Reputation Points are the clan's growth currency. Sieges, raid bosses and clan quests earn them; buying clan skills spends them. Plan reputation farming as seriously as adena farming.

Clan skills

From level 5 the clan buys passive skills that apply to every member: HP/MP bonuses, physical and magical defense, and resists to elements and debuffs. That is literally free power for each member — a strong reason to join a developed clan rather than an empty one.

The Clan Academy

Level 5 opens the Academy — you take in newcomers (up to 2nd profession), they level under the clan's wing, and once they get their profession they graduate, handing the clan a big chunk of reputation and SP. It is win-win: the newcomer gets leveling help (see leveling 1–40), the clan gets reputation.

Sub-units and alliances

Larger clans (6+) create sub-units (Royal Guard, Order of Knights) — extra squads under one leader to fit more people. Several clans join into an alliance — the backbone of big sieges where you need dozens of players, not one party.

Clan hall and sieges

A clan hall is bought at auction and gives you a base with teleports and buffs — detailed in the clan hall guide. A castle is taken in a siege: tax income, reputation and status. How to fight for one is in the castle siege guide.

Create or join

A beginner is almost always better off joining an active, developed clan: you immediately get clan skills, parties and help. Start your own only when you have a core of 5–10 reliable players and a siege goal. How to find a server with living clans is in the server-choosing guide.
