Lineage 2 Interlude Gladiator & Duelist Guide

How to play a Gladiator/Duelist in L2 Interlude: dual swords vs a two-hander, key skills (Triple Slash, Duel Might), dyes, gear and PvP tactics.

July 23, 2026

The Gladiator is a versatile melee warrior equally at home in farming and PvP. Its trademark is dual swords (two blades at once) and Sonic charges for powerful combos. At endgame it becomes the Duelist — one of the best duelers in the game. Let us cover the build and the playstyle.

Dual swords vs a two-hander

WeaponProsCons
Dual swordsHigh attack speed, more Sonic chargesMore expensive (two blades)
Two-handed sword (2H)More damage per hit, cheaperSlower, fewer charges

The classic Gladiator choice is dual swords: they give speed and quickly bank Sonic charges to spam skills.

Key skills

  • Triple Slash / Sonic skills — your main damage, spending banked Sonic charges.
  • Sonic Focus / Sonic Barrier — charge generation and defense.
  • Duel Might (Duelist) — a powerful pre-fight self-buff to damage.
  • Warrior Bane / stun — control against other fighters.

Before a PvP trade, bank Sonic charges and pop your buffs — then your skill chain lands at full damage. A Gladiator with no charges hits at half power.

Progression

Gladiator is the Human warrior 2nd profession, becoming Duelist at endgame — tuned for 1v1 duels and the Olympiad.

Dyes and gear

Dyes: STR/DEX at the cost of CON, but mind your HP. Weapon: dual swords B-gradeA-grade with a Focus or Haste SA (see the SA guide). Armor light or heavy to taste. The overall path is in gear progression.

PvP tactics

The Duelist excels in a drawn-out 1v1 trade thanks to self-buffs and steady damage, but is vulnerable to control and evasion. On the Olympiad it is a top fighter — details in the Olympiad guide, and a DD comparison in best PvP classes.
