The Hero System in Lineage 2 Interlude: How to Become a Hero

How to earn Hero status in L2 Interlude: the link to the Olympiad, the Noblesse requirement, hero skills, hero weapons, the aura, and how to keep the status.

July 27, 2026

Hero is the peak of PvP status in Lineage 2. Once a month the best player of each class becomes a Hero: they get powerful hero skills, a special weapon, a glowing aura and a server-wide chat. Let us cover how to become one and what it grants.

How to become a Hero

The Hero is decided by the monthly Olympiad cycle: the highest-ranked player in each class who fought enough matches gets Hero status for the next period. A hard requirement is Noblesse status (see the Noblesse guide) — without it you cannot enter the Olympiad.

  1. 1Get Noblesse.
  2. 2Register and fight on the Olympiad throughout the month.
  3. 3Finish 1st by points in your class by the end of the period.
  4. 4At the start of the new period you receive Hero status.

What Hero status grants

PerkWhat it is
Hero skillsPowerful buffs: Heroic Miracle, Berserker, Valor, Dread
Hero weaponA very strong weapon of your choice, for the period only
Aura and glowA visual status — the whole server sees you
Hero chatServer-wide messages

Hero skills and weapon dramatically boost you in sieges and mass PvP — a Hero in the fray is worth several ordinary players. That is exactly why heroship in top classes is fiercely contested.

How to keep the status

Hero is granted for one period. To stay a Hero you must win the Olympiad again next month. The status and weapon vanish at the end of the period unless you re-secure first place.

Classes strong on the Olympiad (like the Duelist and daggers) have a better shot at heroship. Picking a class built for 1v1 directly affects your odds — see best PvP classes.
