High Five changed the PvP meta in several meaningful ways. Some classes from Interlude stayed strong, others received new skills and climbed to the top. Here's who actually works in PvP on HF servers.
Ghost Sentinel: best in small-scale PvP
Ghost Sentinel in High Five is one of the strongest 1v1 and small-group PvP classes. High evasion, strong self-buffs, reliable ranged damage. A well-geared GS in epic jewelry is nearly unkillable by physical attackers in 1v1 purely through evasion mechanics.
In mass PvP the role shifts: consistent ranged damage from a safe distance, kiting melee classes that close in, and cleaning up players separated from the main group. Not the frontline, but very valuable.
Duelist: best physical DD in mass PvP
Duelist got a meaningful boost in HF through Frenzy and Warrior's Will. When Frenzy activates below 30% HP, the damage output spikes dramatically. In sieges and mass PvP, one well-geared Duelist cuts through opposition faster than most physical classes.
Duelist struggles in 1v1 against classes with strong CC - you can just Sleep him and finish him off. His element is the chaos of mass PvP where there's no time to CC methodically.
Storm Screamer: rules mass PvP
In mass PvP, a single strong Storm Screamer can flip a fight. AoE nukes cover a wide area and when the enemy groups tightly, the casualties per cast are massive. In sieges, Storm Screamer is the highest-priority target - which itself shows how valuable the class is. The enemy is forced to spend resources shutting her down.
Shillien Templar: best PvP tank
High Five gave Shillien Templar AoE debuff skills that make it essential in group PvP. A well-played ST in 9v9 or a siege can root and debuff an entire enemy group in one approach. Durable, mobile, and genuinely impactful rather than just absorbing hits.
Cardinal and Eva's Saint: no results without them
Not the most glamorous classes, but PvP in HF without a strong healer is just a slow loss. Cardinal and Eva's Saint provide heals, recharges, group buffs, and clutch support when it matters. On well-organized servers, healers in mass PvP events often get paid more than the DPS.
What changed from Interlude
- ▸Dagger classes (TH, PW, AW) are still strong but no longer dominate 1v1 the way they did - HP pools grew.
- ▸Overlord CP buff is less decisive than in IL because everyone's tankier now.
- ▸Mage classes struggle more to land spells on targets stacked with evasion.
- ▸Speed and kiting matter more - mobility is valued higher than in IL.
