Best Solo Classes in Lineage 2 Hellbound

Which classes work best for solo farming in L2 Hellbound: Ghost Sentinel, Storm Screamer, Necromancer and more. Real comparisons, practical tips, and what to avoid.

Hellbound mobs hit noticeably harder than Interlude. A class that felt untouchable in IL can start dying on the Hellbound Coast at level 62. Before you invest in solo gear for this chronicle, it's worth knowing which classes are actually suited for it.

Ghost Sentinel: the top pick

The most reliable solo class in Hellbound. High ranged damage, solid self-buffs from the Hawkeye line, enough evasion to survive bad pulls. On the Hellbound Coast and Native Forest, a well-geared Ghost Sentinel with an A-grade bow and a supply of mana potions can farm for hours without stopping.

Expected income at Hellbound Coast (levels 60-65): 600-900k adena per hour at x1 rates.

Storm Screamer: best AoE mage

When you get a solid pull of 5-8 mobs, Storm Screamer clears them faster than any other class and the adena per hour climbs sharply. The main cost is MP - bring Spirit Ore or run a Recharger box account.

At x1 rates, expect to spend 20-30% of your income on shots and MP pots. That's normal, but factor it into your actual profit calculation.

Necromancer: best resource efficiency

Underrated for solo play. The summon holds aggro while you nuke; Soul Leech heals you on every mob death. You can farm mid-Hellbound zones (Native Forest, Quarry) with almost zero healing item consumption, which adds up to real savings at x1 rates.

Kills slower than Storm Screamer but costs almost nothing to maintain. If you don't have a Recharger box, Necromancer often beats the mage in net profit.

Spectral Dancer: the underrated pick

Soulless Dance gives SD strong self-buffs. Combined with dual-wield damage, Spectral Dancer farms Hellbound better than most people expect. Not the fastest, but nearly self-sufficient and hard to kill. Good choice if you want something other than a bow or a mage wand.

What doesn't work solo

  • Any class dependent on a Bishop or Enchanter for MP with no self-recovery: you run dry every 30 minutes.
  • Gladiator and melee DPS without AoE: strong damage but Hellbound mob density punishes melee without good positioning.
  • Overlord, Warcryer: great in party, rough solo.

Many Hellbound zones have mobs with drain abilities. Bring a stack of Spirit Ore and plan to use it. Mages with no natural MP recovery can't sustain the inner zones without it.

On most Hellbound private servers, Ghost Sentinel is the most popular solo class for good reason. You can level and gear it without ever joining a party if you don't want to. That flexibility is rare in L2.
