Lineage 2 Interlude Healer Guide: Bishop, EE and SE

How to play a healer in L2 Interlude: the difference between Bishop, Elven Elder and Shillien Elder, key heals and resurrection, mana management, and the party and raid role.

July 28, 2026

A healer keeps the party alive. Whether the heal lands in time and whether the mana holds decides if the group survives a boss or a PvP fight. A good healer is almost invisible when things go smoothly, but without one hard content wipes in seconds.

The three healers

ClassRoleSignature
BishopPure heals and resurrectionBest healing, Mass Resurrection
Elven ElderHeals, buffs, mana rechargeBest support for mages
Shillien ElderHeals, recharge, debuffsAggressive PvP support

Progression: Bishop becomes Cardinal, Elven Elder becomes Eva's Saint, Shillien Elder becomes Shillien Saint. The Bishop is a pure healer, while EE and SE mix healing with buffs and recharge (see the buffer guide).

Key skills

  • Battle Heal, a fast single-target combat heal.
  • Greater Heal and Group Heal, heavy and party-wide healing.
  • Resurrection, raise the fallen without losing most of their XP (critical on raids).
  • Recharge (EE and SE), returns mana to mages and daggers.
  • Cleanse and Vitalize, remove debuffs and restore.

Do not overheal: excess healing generates aggro, and the mob can peel off the tank onto you. Heal proactively and only as much as you need to keep the tank up.

Mana and recharge

The healer's main problem is mana. The Bishop has no recharge, so in long fights it leans on MP regen and potions. EE and SE can Recharge, so a mage party paired with them lasts almost indefinitely. The classic endgame setup is a Bishop on heals plus an EE or SE on recharge.

Role in parties and raids

In a party the healer works in tandem with the tank: the tank holds aggro, the healer holds the tank. On raid bosses resurrection and debuff cleansing come into play. How to build a group around the tank plus healer core is in ideal party composition.

In PvP the healer is target number one: the enemy focuses you to collapse the whole party. Stay behind the tanks, never stand in the open, and save Mass Resurrection for right after the clash.

Is it good for a beginner

A healer is an easy entry into group play: you are always wanted in a party and the class forgives farming mistakes. For solo it is weak, where a mage or earner is better. A comparison of starter classes is in best beginner class.
