Complete Lineage 2 High Five guide — Sub-Class Certificates, class rebalance, new zones, raids, instances, economy and private server tips for all players.

May 9, 2025

Lineage 2 High Five (released 2010–2011 in 5 parts) was the final chronicle of classic Lineage 2 before the massive Goddess of Destruction overhaul. It refined the class balance across the board, added the Sub-Class Certificate system, introduced new hunting zones in the 80–85 range, and polished the overall game experience. High Five remains one of the two most popular chronicles on private servers, alongside Interlude.

Sub-Class Certificate System

Sub-Class Certificates are unique to High Five. When a subclass reaches level 75, it can be converted to a Certificate, which then grants powerful passive skills that enhance your main class. This is a significant long-term progression mechanic that differentiates High Five from earlier chronicles.

  • Physical Strength Certificate — increases physical attack of main character
  • Magic Strength Certificate — increases magic attack
  • Defense Certificate — raises physical and magic defense
  • Speed Certificate — increases attack and cast speed
  • Each subclass leveled to 75 earns one certificate — grow multiple subclasses!

Level at least 2–3 subclasses to 75 in High Five. Certificates significantly boost your endgame character and require no extra effort if you're already leveling subs for Noblesse.

Levels 40–62: Mid-Game

Blazing Swamp (40–52), Oran Tempest (52–57), Forge of Gods (55–62). Get your Third Class Transfer at 58–61 — huge power jump. Monastery of Silence (62–68) follows.

Levels 62–80: Gracia and Freya Zones

Ketra and Varka Outposts (68–74), Hellbound Island (74–78), Garden of Genesis (76–80). Seeds instances open at 76. Isle of Prayer (80–85) for Freya-era zones.

Levels 80–85: High Five Exclusive Zones

High Five added dedicated 80–85 zones: Primeval Isle (80–84) with unique dinosaur-themed mobs and drops, Ancient Capital Ruins (83–85) for solid exp and resources, and continued access to all Freya instances. These zones add variety to the endgame grind missing in earlier chronicles.

  • Freya Hard Mode — pinnacle PvE content
  • Seeds instances — Destruction and Infinity weekly clears
  • Olympiad — monthly PvP tournaments with rebalanced classes

Many High Five servers feature auto-hunt or AFK farming tools. Check server policy — some allow it, which significantly changes the economy and time needed to gear up.

Private Server Tips

  • High Five is the second most popular chronicle after Interlude. Many servers exist — filter by online count.
  • Sub-Class Certificate requirements are often accelerated on private servers — confirm the details.
  • Check whether the server has all 5 parts of High Five content (Part 1–5) or just a base version.
  • Clan wars in High Five are more intense than Interlude due to class rebalancing. Choose your clan wisely.
  • On x5–x20 servers, reaching level 85 with subclasses takes 2–4 weeks of active play.
  • Read server patch notes carefully — custom class adjustments often shift the balance significantly.
  • Noblesse and Hero status are key month-one goals. Plan your subclass path from the start.
