Freya is the first L2 chronicle where level 85 became the real cap on most private servers. It's not just the next step from Gracia - there are new zones, a new gear tier, and a raid boss that actually requires preparation. Here's what's waiting for you.

Where to farm at 82-85
Freya farming is split across several zones based on your level and gear:

Isle of Prayer was introduced in Freya and at server launch there's usually less competition here than in Monastery. The first few weeks after launch are a good time to learn the zone before the spots become contested.
S84 gear: why you want it
S84 is meaningfully stronger than Gracia's Vesper gear. Crafted at the blacksmith from Freya-specific materials. On most Freya private servers, S84 is the de facto endgame tier. On servers where Freya content is merged with High Five, S84 is the bridge before Dynasty or Icarus gear.
Freya: the raid boss
Located in the Ice Palace, accessible from the Isle of Prayer area. She has two forms: normal and hard. Normal Freya on most x5+ private servers is doable with a well-organized 9-person party. Hard mode requires an alliance of 30-50 players minimum.
Drops: Freya's Necklace (best necklace in the game pre-GoD), rare S84 weapon recipes, and unique buff items.
Freya's Ice Prison skill can freeze your entire party for 30-60 seconds. Assign one Bishop specifically to watching for it and removing the effect. One bad Ice Prison at the wrong moment wipes parties that had no business dying.
Freya's Necklace: the main prize
On Freya private servers, this necklace is almost always the most expensive item on the market. It can sell for billions of adena in player shops. The first group to get it on a fresh server launch gains a real economic advantage for several weeks.
