At the start of Lineage 2 you have no money but want everything at once: shots, gear, enchants. The right strategy for 1–40 is not to chase expensive things, but to steadily bank your first adena and not waste it. Let us cover where to get money and what NOT to spend it on.

What NOT to spend money on early
- ▸Enchanting cheap weapons — at 1–40 it is money thrown away; you will replace the gear soon anyway.
- ▸Expensive over-level gear — you outgrow it in a couple of days.
- ▸Stockpiling consumables — prices and needs change fast.
The one purchase that truly pays off is Soul/Spirit Shots for your grade. They massively speed up killing mobs — and therefore all your farming. Skimping on shots means losing money.
